 Check everything you need to know about the National Recruitment Agency (NRA). The Indian government has approved a proposal to form a National Recruitment Agency which will conduct a common exam for different existing recruiting agencies. 


This common exam was a very necessary requirement for the government because there are a lot of job seekers who appeared for a lot of examinations each year but the recruitment process takes a lot of time. The syllabus and exam pattern are also the same as these different exams so the Government decided to constitute the National Recruitment Agency to remove all different exams and conduct only a common exam.

National Recruitment Agency was constituted on 28th August 2020 and will conduct the first common exam in September 2021.

Benefits of the National Recruitment Agency:

  • Now candidates will appear for only one exam instead of different exams. It will save candidates time and job seekers can concentrate more on their preparation.
  • National Recruitment Agency will arrange more than 1000 test centers across the country. There will be an examination center in each district of the country. This will help job seekers from rural areas as they have to travel a lot while attempting different examinations in the current system.
  • NRA will also help poor people and will finally save their money by just appearing for only one exam.
  • NRA will be formed on a more solid technical infrastructure and will help in releasing the result sooner than the current system.
  • In the starting National recruitment will conduct a common exam two times a year. Later on, NRA will plan to increase the frequency of the exam with a vision to finally provide a choice to candidates for booking a time and date slot of the exam according to their convenience.
  • National Recruitment Agency will develop a common examination portal to manage the recruitment process for multiple recruiting agencies.
It looks like the decision of setting up the National Recruitment Agency is a great decision for the government.
